On the 11th of  November 2010 the media reported about a miniature student revolt in Britain. The cause for the anger was a rise in the tuition fees. Currently the fee is 3.290£ and will be 9.000 £ a year in 2012. It seems, from far away, that higher education in the UK will be only affordable for wealthy people.

The anger is understandable, but not so the violence. Still property was broken and more than 40 police officers were injured. But the question is, why are the students getting only angry about the raise of fees, while the bleak outlook of their future does not ignite the same fury?

The same question must be asked to all the people who gather at the G 8 and G 20 summits and try to make their reservation about the globalization heard. Sometimes this demonstrations also get very violent. At the demonstrations at the 27th G 8summit in Genoa/Italy 2001 a demonstrator, Carlo Guiliani,  was even shot dead by a police officer. The activist Susanne Bendotti was struck by a vehicle while she tried to cross the French-Italian border to get to the demonstrations in Genoa. Why she did so is a kind of a mystery, since the borders in the European Union are supposed to be open for their citizens. Were the borders closed in order to prevent demonstrators to reach Genoa?

Is it safe to assume, that most of the demonstrators against Globalization, for which the G8 and G 20 summits are the symbols, are students?

Such protests are not unknown to the political leaders. The leaders of today all experienced the so called May ’68 revolts in the last century, which started in France and spread throughout western Europe and North America. Many of the leaders of today were involved in one way or the other in this revolts. But today they have forgotten all about it!

The reasons for such outburst of anger and violence is in all examples very different but why is the Climate Change not enough reason to demonstrate? Why doesn’t the inability of the developed countries to really help the poor countries invoke massive solidarity amongst the students of today, who will be the leaders of tomorrow?

As is always reiterated in the posts of Nesseq the universities have all the possibilities to build viable models. The universities don’t just have the possibilities, they have the moral obligation to to so. That this does not happen is to a big part the fault of the students. It seems, that most of the students are more concerned with their future career and not with the future of the world.

But not all students are so. Many do attend demonstrations and many are ready to fight against the system. But especially those students have to understand, that there are more and better ways to change the system. Take the suggestions introduced in the Nesseq website and build functioning models. Students of political science and economy, do work on viable models. Demand from your professors to do so!

The university is the incubator of society, or at least should be.

Undeniably imagine that which you said. Your favorite reason seemed to be
at the internet the simplest thing to keep in mind of.
I say to you, I definitely get irked whilst people
think about issues that they plainly do not understand about.
You managed to hit the nail upon the top and also defined
out the whole thing with no need side-effects , other folks
can take a signal. Will likely be back to get more. Thank

This page provides information about research conducted at WPU on alcohol consumption and our marketing campaign designed to reduce excessive drinking…Alcohol Social Norms Research Marketing Campaign..At William Paterson University and across the nation research consistently indicates that there is a misperception among college students regarding alcohol consumption. College students typically overestimate how much alcohol their peers are consuming.

  4. Totem and Taboo

Freud uses examples mostly from the Australian Aborigines, gathered and discussed by anthropologist James George Frazer. He points out, with some surprise, that although the Aborigines do not seem to have any sexual restrictions, there’s an elaborate social organization whose sole purpose is to prevent incestuous sexual relations.

Freud discusses various ways in which the exogamy of the totem system prevents incest not only among the nuclear family, but among extended families as well. In addition, the totem system prevents ‘incest’ among members of the same totem clan who are not related by blood and considers as incest relations between clan members which could not produce children. He explains that the existence of marriage restrictions between the members of the same tribes probably goes back to when group marriages were allowed (but not ‘incest’ within a group family).

He concludes the essay with a discussion of the mother-in-law taboo, and concludes that the incestuous wishes which are repressed to the unconscious among civilized peoples are still a conscious peril to the uncivilized people in Frazer’s studies.

      Hi there,
this is very interesting, but I have to disappoint you. The TOTEM System as introduced in has nothing to do with the Totem as described by Freud.
Our TOTEM System is a techniocal facility in order to produce and save energy and in the process water is destilled.
      But again, thanks a lot,

Hey Max, The big Oil corporations are trying their best to stop free energy ideas from spreading to common people, We need to put an end to this corruption ,start generating ur own electricity now. release the plans for your totem and stop keeping them in secret, help people and community.

    • Admin (Max)

      Dear Hassan,
there are no plans to be released. The TOTEM System is a concept, not a ready plan. If you want to build a TOTEM you will have to find an engineer in your area to do the planning. The problem is, that every area has it’s own Inherent Energy content and therefore the TOTEM differs from place to place.
If you find an engineer and s/he has a specific question I would be happy to answer it.

We can prevent the effects of it by ignoring it and only paying attention to our personal opinion about ourselves

Nice article, But Dr. Max, i have a question :

What’s going on with your TOTEM thing ? so far all i see is articles about whatever, and your TOTEM is still in theory or it’s only a dream, fraud maybe !!

Is this Totem is realy exist ? or its your fantasy ?

    • Admin (Max)

      Dear Ben,
I have to admit the TOTEM System is still only theory. Perhaps a dream, but certainly not a fraud. I did not invent a new technology, all the single units already exist. The new thing about it is, that all the units are incorporated in one facility and not, as is usual today, separated. The TOTEM System is a new cultural approach and not a new technology.
You better believe, that I wish nothing more but to prove that it works and I am constantly looking for people who would be willing to invest in such a idea. This is very difficult, because the TOTEM System is not about profit maximization, it is about saving and producing energy and drink water. Every university has the space, the know how and the means to build a TOTEM System in every conceivable size. But they do not do it. If you don’t believe me ask a natural scientist, after all the TOTEM System just copies nature.

Thanks for making the effort to go over this particular, I feel strongly about it and love learning more on this subject. If at all possible, as you gain expertise, would you mind updating your blog with more information? It is extremely ideal for me.
