After a couple of cold days, full of rain and wind, the sun shines again. In the afternoon I took a walk on the shore. At such a day, Louis Armstrong (1) must have decided to record the song What a Wonderful World.

The sea is not as angry as it was just yesterday. Still the waves were quiet high and powerful.  

At the entrance of the old port, I leaned over the balustrade. The sun warmed my back and from the front it was windy and fresh. It was a glorious day. The arrival of spring was in the air.  

I looked across the ocean and saw ahead the horizon. As far away as the future. But this will be our future, or as Frank Zappa (2) called one of his songs: The Ocean is the Ultimate Solution. Although the composer had something else in his mind. But a solution must be found for the people who live in proximity to the sea shore. When the level of the seas will rise it will affect a big part of humanity. But why to breed negative predictions, on such a lovely day?  

Sailing boats and kite surfer halfway to the horizon enjoyed the power of the wind. Not far from the shore, a Kingfisher fluttered in a stationary orbit above the sea. A moment later it became a air-sea missile. A successful one at that. The bird had caught a fish and flew away, to hold his feast. Seagulls and cranes flew across the panorama.  A fish jumped up from the water and splashed back into the water. Did the fish catch the insect? 

Dusk was not far off.  

Something strange was floating in the surf. At first I thought it to be a dead animal and small fishes eating from it. It turned out to be a piece of plastic, with a short ropes. After scanning about 200-300 square meters of sea, I discovered other pieces of plastic, bottles and the remnants of shopping bags. All this, at a couple of square meters, multiplied with thousands of kilometer of shore line and the mass of plastic in the seven seas  is mind boggling.  

I went on paid more attention to the pier. Also there, lots of plastic in various sizes littered the place. Further south, beyond the port, new park was opened to the public. I was only 3 or 4 times here before. The beach was stony and covered with plastic debris and other trash. There was also the wheel of a car on the stones. The storm has spewed back at us.  

As much as I admire the courage of David de Rothschild (3) on the Plastiki

(4), what is this journey good for? To show us where all the plastic in the sea is concentrating? To build up awareness amongst the masses? Isn’t Mr. Rothschild underestimating the people? Everyone, at least in the 1.World knows, that it is mandatory to save energy and not to pollute nature. The next step would be to offer the people the chance to live the awareness. Where are the bins in public places, where the garbage can be separated? Nowhere in site. Here are the municipalities obligated to act! And if they do not do as expected, than we, the citizens, must pressure them to do it.  

The sheer mass of plastic floating in the seas and on the continents are dizzying and suffocating nature!

But as everyone can see in the presentations of Prof. Passig the Climate Change, as a possible major influence in the future does not get the prominent place it deserves. Prof. Passig is not able to rebut my criticism, that the results of a possible Climate Change for humanity is widely neglected in the broad academic world.

Actually I wanted to publish today a post about Futurologism. I will have to write it another time.

The reason for this delay is the riot I caused, by refusing to bend to pressure of my readers to change something in the post Plastic and Climate Change. 

It was a slight difference in years, when Plastic was invented. Everyone can follow the discussion on the comment section of the Link to the post. 

Someone called me in a comment a dictator. What does this person call all the people who demand from me to do something I don’t want to do? Democrats?     

I am the only one to take full responsibility for what is happening in this web site. And my responsibility dictates me not to alter a document. And be it a digital one!

Especially since Nancy corrected me in the second comment. Thank you very much Nancy, I appreciate it. To make the correction of Nancy more visible for all to see, I decided to take off the comment by John Hinker. Sorry John, I had to do it. But it was the only comment I took off. If this is a solace for you.

But this reminds me of a question I wanted to ask. 

What are your friends, the Aliens, doing on earth? Do they have good or bad intention? Or are they just neutral and invisible? John you say, that your friends have had the same problem of a changing climate on their homeplanet. But the problem was solved. How did your friends handle the situation? They could surly help us and give us guidance.

Physics

Stephen Hawking, the famous physicist claims in his new book The Grand Design that God was not needed to spark creation. In the Times magazine Eureka he said:

“Because there is a law such as gravity, the Universe can and will create itself from nothing. Spontaneous creation is the reason there is something rather than nothing, why the Universe exists, why we exist.”

Now, I am not a physicist, but as far as I know are the Black Holes in the universe are sucking up matter which comes too close. Even light can’t escape the gravitational force of the Black Holes. It is also believed, that the Black Holes are a sort of gateway to another Universe. If that’s so, why would it not be a possibility that the Black Holes simply transfer matter from one universe to the other. The conclusion is, where nothing is at one moment there is something in the next moment.

All these are nice theories, but they don’t really answer one question, is there a God?

Geo-Physics

A question for a Geo-physicist. If you meet one, ask him and let us all know the answer. The oil which pumped from the intestines of earth, must leave there empty space. But this can’t be so. Empty space tends to fill up with something else. In this case most probably with water. Could this cause earthquakes? After the Hoover Dam was built tremors could be felt for some time. The website Wired.com reports of man made earthquakes. Why should the filling up of the oil cavities be totally neutral and not cause earthquakes?

Another question. The point is, whether seawater is filling the former oil depots? The rise of the Sea Level, which is estimated to be 1.8 mm per year in the last century, would be even higher! Millions of gallons of sea water vanish underground and don’t add to the rise.
Anyway, whether this is true or not, the displaced millions of gallons are at the light of day, where they don’t belong! And no one can tell, if it does in no way disturb a balance in nature.

TOTEM System

I am constantly asked how to build a TOTEM System. There is not  much more to say, then in the page Total Energy Modulation.
The trick of the TOTEM concept is, to keep the ways as short as possible. Every meter more needs more energy to build and on the way more energy is lost. The Inherent Energy of the location is the shortest possible energy source.

So to find out, what the IE’s of your home and neighborhood are. And start utilizing them. But be wary not to disturb the balance of nature! Just take what is needed.

Politics

As an Israeli I am understandably very interested in the politics of president Obama and how he wants to re conciliate with the Islamic world. It is not up to me to give advice but one little question keeps popping into my mind. The Moslems just finished the Ramadan. The Ramadan is closing with a 3 day feast, called Eid el’fitr.

Did Mr. Obama celebrate this feast with the Moslems? Just as he celebrates Channukkah with the Jews?
I think such a gesture would send the right message to the Islamic and the rest of the world.

The poem just popped into my head for some time and I thought I publish it. I hope you will like it.

500 times

I’ve been around the world 500 times.
I have seen it all and I’ve seen nothing yet.

I’ve seen joy and grieve and love and hate.
But I have seen nothing yet.

I have lived amongst murderers and thieves.
And I tried to be a saint, but I don’t know what I am.

I’ve seen violence prevailing and men eating man.
Woman not much better, just a little different.

I’ve been looking for a place, where man has not left a trace.
But I have not found it yet!

I loved a woman and then another one.
I have already lost the count.

I’ve seen men chasing women and women chasing men.
And the wheel of life turning faster everyday.

I climbed the mountains 500 times.
Above the clouds the world was peaceful.

I sailed the seven seas 500 times and I saw the waters rising.
Washing away the stains human beings have left behind.

I saw nature claiming back her dues!
She has lost her love for us.

Now my journey comes to an end.
And I’ve seen nothing yet!

This is not true. The truth is, that I really try to answer all direct questions. Someone called Anna, probably the same Anna Brown, wrote me in the same post, that I sell propaganda. The Nasa couldn’t know the temperatures in the year 1860! All is a fake. What am I suppose to answer to this? It is a matter of believe. If a fervent believer in god is discussing god with a fervent non-believer, the discussion will be heated but pointless. If someone believes that the Climate Change will happen he will believe it and might be surprised to find out in the future that it didn’t happen. On the other hand, there are people who fervently deny Climate Change and might find out in the future that they were wrong. But since they deny Climate Change they did not get prepared for such a situation.

My stance is, and everyone can check it out, that there is a possibility of a Climate Change and the only responsible thing to do is to get prepared to a worst-case scenario if it happens. If the climate will not change after all nothing is lost.

So, I ask the reader, what should I answer someone who accuses me of selling propaganda. Or in other words, that I am lying. I leave it to the readers to make up their own mind to such accusations. Anyone can believe what s/he wants but to deny that everything is possible, that the climate can’t change is to live in an illusion. If we regard Earth history, we can see that the climate has been changing constantly and there is no reason to assume it has come to a point where it can’t change anymore.

The only responsible thing to do is to get prepared for such a situation! And this is what this website is all about. The task of Nesseq is not to discuss whether or not climate change is happening or not. The task is too find solutions in a global network for such a terrible eventuality.

Another point I want to make clear is, that  if I mention celebrities, like Paul McCartney and Chelsea Clinton, and get hateful comments I will not approve them anymore!

If someone is hateful of me I will publish the comment, no matter what. I leave it to my readers to agree or disagree with those comments.

Lately we got lots of comments which are quiet hateful.

Someone called Mike posted a comment about water waste in Israel. He states that he doesn’t care about the water situation in Israel. That might be as it is, but Mike is missing the point. The post Summertime and the Waters are Flowing tries to show the water situation in Israel as an example how it, probably, is all over the world. Why should it be different somewhere else? It is about building up awareness.

If Mike thinks the post should be written in Hebrew and that Mike is therefore the wrong audience, then Mike should not visit Nesseq.com again.

In a response to the post Feminism and Climate Change a woman by the name of Anna advices me to “kill myself.” Because I am supposed to have difficulties with women and/or women have difficulties with me or whatever. The question whether Anna really read the post or whether she is reacting like Pavlov’s Dogs. As soon as a man writes about Feminism has automatically a problem with women.  The point of the post was to introduce into the thought of Feminism the grain of Climate Change. This is in my opinion a justifiable criticism, since Climate Change adds to the potential of Feminism.

Someone calls himself the Mr. David the Proud American and he takes upon himself to demand from me all the donations back that I supposedly received from the visitors of Nesseq.com. Who is this Proud American? He wants in the name of all readers “our money back!” I have to admit that I would like to get donations in order to run the website properly and to have the means to build the models of my ideas. But this is not to be. Until now I haven’t got a penny yet. Also from the Pay per Click in all the time I earned 2 $ and some cents.

If someone thinks this website is about getting rich s/he is mistaken. In order to get rich I should have made another web site!

Liz on Feminism an Climate Change says the she studies engineering and is “quite intrigued” by my ideas. Thank you very much Liz.

But i would really like if you could help me do the planning for the projects. Perhaps you could talk to your professors about the ideas and build it in your school.

2. As it happened some people from the Philippines, Bangladesh and India asked me to help them with the projects I suggest here in the Nesseq website. I wish I could, but I don’t have money and no professional supporters, such as engineers an economists.

What I can suggest to all who want to establish such projects. You have to find the specialists where you live and start doing it in the most simple way. Go to a scrape yard and get there the alternators to produce electricity, you might find there all kind of raw materiel.

I want to go one step further and say: “God is life and if we destroy his creation, we destroy god on earth!”

This will be the first and last post to this topic, since Nesseq is about Climate Change and nothing else. Also, I will not publish anymore comments, which are not relating to Nesseq itself.

First of all, I am against a Palestinian state as much as I oppose the state of Israel. My dream would be a Bi-national
state with full autonomy for all parties. Jews, Moslems, Christians and all the others.
A dreamer you may say, but I shouldn’t be the only one!
It seems absurd to strive for Mini-states in a globalized world. The USA and now Europe show us the way it will be in the future. A world consisting of continental blocks instead of small countries!

But whatever the possibilities and opportunities of the future will be, the present is the most important stage of history.
And here I have to admit that the root of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict is Zionism. None of the theoreticians of this
peculiar ideology has ever thought of how to live with the non-Jewish population of the land in which they wanted to settle.
This almost 2000 years after the Jews had to leave their Holy Land. Almost 2000 years the Jews promised to come back after
the arrival of the Messiah. For almost 2000 years the Jews did not have any national aspirations.
And at the end of the 19. century some secular Jews in Europe invented Zionism and changed the rules of the game in the
middle of the game. Totally ignoring and without without even talking to the other party, the Palestinians.
The result was the conflict.

After the end of World War II and the Holocaust it was decided by the international community, that Palestine should be
divided between the Jews and the Palestinians. The Arab countries did not agree to it and started the War of Independence.
Of course, as seen from the Israeli Point of view. The Palestinians see it understandably different, for them it was the
Naqba – the Catastrophe.
In this war the Israelis gained more land, but it was internationally recognized. In 1967, in the Six Day War, the Israelis
conquered the West-bank and Gaza. Also the Sinai, which was eventually returned to  Egypt.

Now, at the year 2010, 43 years later, the situation has not changed much for the Palestinians. Even after the Israelis

left Gaza in 2005, the Israelis are in full control of the situation, as the incident on the Miva Marmara proves. Why does a civilian ship trying to bring without teal need material into Gaza? Because the people in Gaza need the material. That’s why the tunnels are being dug. About 80% of the material reaching Gaza is coming through the tunnels. The source is the UN, although I can’t name a date.

Today Israel is a recognized member of the international community. The only member which controls another people and which
openly admits that it will not give up control for ever.

Only in this manner can the siege of Gaza, the Separation Wall and the building in the Westbank and in East-Jerusalem be
understood. The latest idea of Mr. Netanyahoo, only a couple of weeks ago, was to keep a corridor in the east of the future Palestine, so the Palestinians will not be able to smuggle weapons. But won’t have any other border but Israel!
Total control of a whole people for ever.

Israel demands of the Palestinians to enter the dialog with the Israelis without preconditions. O.K., but in the meantime
Israel is creating facts in the occupied territories.
This is the very example of a double standard, of speaking with two tongues. All this happens with the consent of the USA,
which almost never agree officially with the politics of Israel but always vetos the decisions of the UN-Security Council
which condems Israeli politics in Palestine.
One thing shouldn’t be overlooked, the siege of Gaza is not only the responsibility of the Israelis. Egypt and the
Palestinian Authorities are part to it.

While Israel complains of a international and civilian intervention, it forgets that the Zionists in the 1940th also broke
the sea blockades of the British Mandate. Also the indifference of the world population to the suffering of the Jewish
at the same times are not forgotten by the Israelis.
Many people in the world have learned from history and won’t let inhumanities take place in this world for too many years.

But when the people who are not indifferent to the suffering of the people of Gaza try to break the siege,
the Israelis behave in much the same manner as any other nation that is besieging a area – with violence.
They send Navy Seals in the middle of the night against civilians. Even if the civilians are ready for violence. The Seals
are trained to kill, the civilians not.
Nine civilians were killed!

The violence of the passenger as not much more violent as any violent demonstration.
As I write this article, the television news reported, that there is a violent demonstration between the settlers of Bet El, in the West-bank, and the police. Also very much rememered are the happenings during the violent eviction of the 8500 settlers in 2005 Gaza by the army and police. No Jewish resister was shot and they were later amnestied.

This post could go on for ever, so I will end it with a final remark.
And as  long as the present  conflict goes on, no one in the area cares about a changing climate. The same principle applies
as the point of Nesseq, Social Security!
The Palestinians have one advantage, their infrastructure is almost non-existent and therefore they could built in
every neighborhood a TOTEM System! With all the economic and social benefits connected to it!
My advice to the Palestinians would be, swallow your anger and oppose the occupation with non-violent means.
If the Israelis blockade your movements, start to blockade their streets with a human chain!
And always take care to have enough media coverage.

Although some of the critics lately accused me of trying to earn a lot of money with my site and then…..what?

I admit that in order to realize all the ideas introduced here in this website millions of US-Dollars or Euros wouldn’t be enough. Alone the GIRP – Greek Island Reforestation Project would eat up billions.

But it would be worthwhile!

Secondly, I think if I could invest all of my time in this website, instead of working to earn money, it would just improve the website. Also it would also be nice to pay my webmasters Sami and Nimrod, who also invest a lot of time in helping me with Nesseq.

Right now they are doing it without pay.

But for how long?

Mr. Brown G. suggests that I should try to get into politics. As much as I feel flattered by Mr. Brown’s confidence in me, I believe this to be unnecessary. Politics is too shortsighted for changing society. The date of expiry for politics is exactly the time until the next elections. What I try to do with this website, is to convince the people that there is another way of doing things. Which is not necessarily in contradiction to politics.

And this is to remind the people of their own abilities, of the Inherent Energy within ourselves.

We don’t have to wait for anybody, we just have to find like minded people in our town and neighborhood and start doing the things which have to be done. If we succeed politics and business will follow suit.

And then we really have done something!

Hemp
Hemp has been alongside humanity for thousands of years.
And not all the sorts were certainly not without THC content.
Still humanity has come to where it is, albeit the people smoking the weed.
The prohibition is only about a hundred years old and the serious war on drugs is only 30-40 years and doesn’t show
any signs of success.
After hemp was declared illegal it became quasi legal again for some time. When the American needed it most, during WWII!
With the end of the war it became illegal again and remained so until this very day.
It is still forbidden to plant the hemp although every one, unbiased, can understand the potential of hemp.
And to hell with the minority of the dope heads. Everyone is drawn to his/her kind of addiction.

It is senseless to forbid hemp just to prevent a minority from using it as a drug.

A Remark to the Military and Universities

The Military and the Universities have all the resources and the responsibility to work out alternative ways to fight Climate Change.

To ignore their possibilities is not an option. Not even for an Individual in society, but certainly not for such mighty institutions as the military or universities. Both could build a TOTEM System without any delay or difficulty!
“You got the possibilities, you got the responsibility!”
